vbA has no "house" style, we prefer to design in a "modern" idiom, but are equally adept at designing period additions to Victorian homes. We place our skills at the service of the clients' vision and dreams, but in all projects we strive to provide, what is really modern - a unique spatial experience .
We constantly strive to design projects better than what the client envisions.
VBA has designed numerous commercial, retail & industrial projects in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania including college dorms, restaurants, churches, manufacturing, libraries, museums, breweries, waste management facilities, food processing, showrooms, senior living and hotels.
Hector V. Muñoz-Baras has been the recipient of numerous local, regional and National Awards for residential and commercial architecture. His professional associations include architecture, interior design, business organizations, general contractors and design-build firms. Hector has been published in Our House Magazine, Period Home Magazine, Solar Today, Orange County Black Dirt Magazine, Tri-State Chamber of Commerce newsletters and a tri-state area weekly radio show, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Building Department” since 2015, which he produced, directed and co-hosted.
Architectural detail design and planning should be treated as seriously and delicately as the construction process. Architects are the backbone of every building and the level of detail in projects often makes the difference between ordinary and extraordinary.
Mixed Use & Multi Dwelling Projects - New York, New Jersey & Pennsylvania
v baras ARCHITECTS has over three decades of commercial and residential interior design, furniture design and custom detail design.
In my early career in architecture, explorations through painting was a portal into my intuition, creativity and imagination. The medium is boundless and unrestricted, allowing my imagination to soar and fully develop. My paintings are spatial and rhythmic exercises without restrictions of programmatic necessities and structural restraints…a true form of artistic play and fantasy.
